Family Week is an entire week full of family-friendly events – cookouts on the beach, Parent & Youth Cafés, art exhibits, a movie night, athletic activities, a family parade and dance – lots of great options for the whole family!

Family Week is the largest national gathering of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) family community in the United States and represents unique opportunities for LGBT parents and their children to come together to:

• Create life-long connections in support of one another
• Share stories that will open other hearts and minds in their own communities
• Raise their collective voices to create social justice for all families

Now in its 17^th year, Family Week 2012 is being presented as part of a series of community events that will honor Family Equality Council’s 30^th anniversary – a year-long national celebration during which we will unveil a renewed commitment to create a better world for our community of LGBT families.

During Family Week 2012, July 28 – August 4, hundreds of LGBT parents, their children, their extended families, prospective parents and friends will gather at the tip of Cape Cod in gay-friendly Provincetown, to relax and enjoy this amazing event.

Early registration is encouraged for Family Week, an event that traditionally draws hundreds of families from across the country and beyond to the sun-splashed, sandy shores of Cape Cod.

Families are also encouraged to book accommodations best-suited for their families as soon as possible by choosing from among a variety of quality hotels, inns and guest houses in Provincetown. Please contact the Provincetown Tourism Office for assistance,www.provincetowntourismoffice.org.

Traditional Family Week  favorites include the Parent and Youth Café conversations, the Family Unity and Pride Parade, Family Movie Nights, the Family Dance and the exciting children's and youth adventure activities focused on the arts, environment, and fitness – just to name a few!

BROADWAY AT THE ART HOUSE proudly presents the legendary PATTI LuPONE for 3 shows only hosted by Sirius/XM Radio Star and pianist SETH RUDETSKY!  Patti LuPone, Author of the New York Times bestseller, Patti LuPone A Memoir, most recently appeared on Broadway opposite her Evita co-star Mandy Patinkin in An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin and prior to that created the role of Lucia in the new musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, for which she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards.  Last season she also made her debut with the New York City Ballet as guest soloist in their new production of The Seven Deadly Sins and starred as Joanne in the New York Philharmonic's production of Company.
